Licensed Professional Counselor
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, now retired, Leslie B Kuerbitz enjoyed working with individuals, families, and couples for almost twenty years. Her counseling practice included victims of crime, crisis and trauma, positive parenting skills, and anger and stress management.
Serving the Community
Leading up to her individual counseling career, Leslie worked as a training coordinator, family assistance coordinator, and crisis counselor for a municipal police department. During her 20-year career with the department, Leslie assisted families of officers injured or killed in the line of duty and counseled victims of violent crime. She continues to support advocacy for victims.
Leadership Experience
Leslie's leadership experience includes the Mayor's Domestic Violence Task Force, City of Dallas; Garland Independent School District L.I.G.H.T. Counselor Advisory Board; Garland ISD New Horizons Advisory Board for Teen Pregnancy; Executive Board of Directors, Counseling Institute of Texas and the Planning Committee for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Crime Victims Clearing House, statewide conference.

Charlie and Leslie Kuerbitz
Leslie resides with her husband Charlie, a U.S. Army Veteran and Purple Heart recipient. After a ten-year career in the Army, Charlie became a police officer for the same municipal police department as Leslie and retired after 32 years of service. Charlie and Leslie have been married for more than 35 years. They live in Garland, Texas with their two rescue/adopted pups, RosieAnne and Jazmine.
